I'm sayin'

Do you know what no holds-barred fighting is?
An actual quote from an actual flyer for an actual NHB fighting class:

"No holds-barred is a game not restricted by rules. Almost anything can be done."

Another insane quote? But of course:

"In actual fighting and self-defense there are no rules. There are techniques to learn which can sway the balance of power."

A third?

"Discounts for advanced students." Which, loosely translated, means "Kill someone, pay less."

Oh, and by the way, the instructor's name is Stephen Wokee.
Srsly.

Nice.

I just re-found this page.. I did not see the response from 2009. I imagine the response was directed to me, since I was the only person to comment.

I was not saying this was funny.. I am just trying to find Steve.

Thank you, I imagine I won't be receiving a response.. but I will check back.

I am the original poster of this blog, and I would first like to apologize for not seeing your comment until... now. Wow.

Secondly, I don't think NHB fighting is funny, I was simply highly amused by the sign (and its terminology), which was just nonchalantly placed in my college math class.

And to answer the other question I missed two years ago, no, I never knew Stephen Wokee.

To all of the above,
I personally train with Mr. Wokee and can assure you that the environment in which we train is very safe if you follow his instructions (only "roll" with people that know what they are doing, tap (call mercy) when necessary, etc); however it not for those with an aversion to physical contact.

He can be reached by email at wokeefarms@hotmail.com

Best of luck!

Regarding Steve Wokee from other people that know him:

By the way "Gator Grappling" http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=149489819
Is ran by Stephen Wokee, nicknamed Crazy Steve. He was kicked out of his old school after 6 or so months for being utterly insane and off the hook. This guy is border line psycho and you really should be careful dealing with him. He' a compulsive liar. Of all the "schools" you are using, think twice and wisely about this one.

LMAO @ "Gator Grappling"
Crazy Steve was kicked out of F2 and either the UF Judo or UF BJJ club, im not sure which. Since he was humiliated at F2, he started his gay little wanna be "fight team", aka "gator grappling". Now, not only is Steve so motherfucking stupid that he cannot type up a properly worded flyer to promote his team, but he has been running around telling people that HE was the original founder of F2 in Gainesville. Steve (as stated above) is a compulsive liar and a stalker. (ill elaborate later)
Andrew - i know nothing about you personally or your history promoting events, but the fact that you have Gator Grappling listed tells me you havnt done your homework. While i hesitate to tell anyone how to run their business, if i were you, i would seriously consider looking into these schools you are promoting a little more seriously. I would like to think that GG being listed is just a lapse of judgment, so ill give you the benefit of the doubt. However, you want nothing to do with Steve "I assault people and stalk girls" Wokee.
